Those orange ones are not made out of copper. It feels like plastic. Its not added with soap or anything its just plain scrubbies =) I gotta go back to lowes 
I think you can get a good size bag of good (plastic and no soap) ones at the dollar store as well.
Yeh, I went to a dollar store nd bought these.
Anyhow, i went to lowes nd to my surprise they had every piece except for the bottom. Chompers, you know how at the end of the pipe it is blocked and then its like another pipe attached to it so that it can stand? what did you use to block the pipe? It looks kinda curved from the outside
Lol this was funny because I had at least 3 lowes workers helping me out. and one of them said this was crazy lol. He asked me what i was trying to build and i said i was trying to build this pipe setup for a tank filter. I said i didnt know how it was made because a friend made it for me. then the guy goes, how the hell did your friend stick this in there? thats impossible! lol. I said i dunno lol.
What i bought instead was a plug that was flat on one side and i planned to glue it to the bottom of the pipe but im not sure if that would work out.
I think i bought the right cement because it says All purpose cement for pvc, abs, and cpvc. and its in like a mini container

All of the parts came from Lowes. The bottom flared part is in the drainage section. It is a 1.5"x2" adapter. The Lowes here separates the pvc parts into two sections but HD lumps everything together. 
I added the flared bottom to give it stability but it is not required as long as you can secure it to something. The curved thing inside is a one inch cap. As for "you can't do that", we both know you can When you accept that it can't be done, you have already admitted defeat.
You can re-use the base by cleaning the coupler that you have. If you want to start over and build a new one, just use a 1.5" cap.

Yes. I haven't heard of any mention of cleaner. Did you buy cleaner too? You put the cleaner on the parts before gluing. And they both come in metal cans. The guys at Lowes should have told you that. They are located right next to each other. They are also sold in a two can package; one can of glue and one of cleaner or purple primer.
After thinking about it, I was wondering if I mentioned the cleaner. And you read my thread about pvc work, right? I doubt I mentioned that either...CHOMPERS;966355; said:

You can use only glue if you don't need anything else from Lowes. It just won't be as strong.Here is the link for pvc work. It isn't very clear and I wish I could re-do it...
