MY FIRST SUMP COMPLETE!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
About to cut the long pole piece so im almost dun. Last night, I was trying to open these stupid cans nd i got a blister from trying lol. So I had to take a wrench nd twist it open with the help of my dad

THE SMELL!!! I was running back and forth from the stuff taking in big breathes of air nd holding it until iwas dieing cuz the chemicals had such a bad smell.

The thing dried in seconds! that was crazy! lol

yea be carful with those solvents they can cause horrible uper respiratory problems

well, I glued everything together
nd its all fine
however, one of them was just glued nd i wanted to try it out. I started the other one first then i began to suck on an air valve on the one that was just finished glueing. I STARTED TO BREATHE chemcals! So i decided to wait until tomorrow and now its leaking again OMFG!

im dieing here...

Finally I am finished! After all the aweful times smelling the chemicals while glueing, i finished right now. one of the overflows have more water speed cuz it is lower in height. now everything is finished nd ill post up pics soon

actually, scratch that i might have another problem... the flow from the overflow is too fast for some reason and the pump cannot catch up that fast and i see very little by little the sump level water is getting higher. what do i do?!

actually, never mind it all worked out because as the water level in the tank decreases, the overflows flow decreases so it all worked out =)

after two months its made. Thanks chompers!

Maybe I should have checked here before answering the PM :grinno: Good to hear it is working properly.

Yup now i want to transfer my 3 little fishies - a dat, a syno, and a small dempsey into the sump because the dempsey pair in my 55 are going crazy.

Btw, i used screen mesh to cover the intake. If my dempseys have babies, will the babies get sucked in? Im not sure exactly the size of dempsey babies..
