Give it a few days if you just got them. Fish will fade from shipping sometimes. Good luck

This mainly applys to FH. I have had many RT come in just as vibrant. They don't lose their color as much. This is a female I got from a reputable breeder and was first day in the tank.

Thanks for the info! You were correct, She isn't that red...She is still very nice but not like that.
I am pleased with the rest of the fish. Will not purchase from him again! spread the word. Live and learn :)

So are you not happy how it came in then? Is it not red at all? Since you mentioned not purchasing from him again. Your pleased with the other fish, but not that one? Curious, since I was looking at the same fish. I knew photo was saturated but thought it would be red though.

The male is nice and red, just putting them all thru the quarantine/parasite regime for next 48 hours then will take some pics when they are settled :)

The fish turned out not as bright as I thought, red that is. He did provide a video supposedly in natural light, however she isn't looking nearly that good here. I will wait until she has been thru parasite treatment and settled in her new home before a total judgement call, and update on here.

The SB male (not from chonbruin) Came in fairly pale/light as well and is turning much redder on day #2. ... So it varies obviously , Wont know anything for certain until all fish are settled , stress free , and in good condition. Ill be sure to keep you all posted

I sold the female "SRT" definitely turned out to be more of a Fader Pearly Red Dragon, I would still call her high quality for a female, but not a Red Texas....Lesson learned with that seller ;)

Here is my male Short Body SRT and his new Girlfriend/companion ...as well as my one male Short body Texas who is turning out better each day, he is nicer than I thought he would be, very happy , can't wait for my "super pearl" female to arrive to try crossing with him so hopefully get some "super pearl" SB babies :)
