My flowerhorn has this white transparent poops for 2 weeks now. Before he was only eating blood worms, refused most of the pellets. Now he refused both and hasn't been eating for 2 weeks. I have been treating him with metronadizol, PraziPro, Epsom salt and force feed him with meds using the syrings as well for internal parasites, but he still pooping the white long and transparent. I'm so frustrated and ran out of idea. My FH sometime would swim around but mostly stay on top of water. Please Help...Please see the pictures I have attached.

Levamisole directly into water or force feed? and my fish hasnt eat for 2 weeks. Im worrying about his health and also his color is fading too

i am afraid it might not work. I ordered CLEAR from cz aqua product. Hopefully it comes soon and idk if it would cure my fish

The problem is your dosing meds without knowing the real problem. I can only offer advice based on my experience and what you have said so far. Sounds like an internal parasite, levamisole could likely cure your fish, it worked for mine.

I was able to id the parasite with a microscope though, he had capillaria worms.

It was a green terror not flowerhorn. He stopped eating.

I had first tried prazipro and metronidazole for a while. Also did Epson salt treatment with no luck. Finally bought a microscope and examined his clear poops and saw the parasites. I could id them based on online information and then got levamisole HCL and treatment worked! He is better now and back to eating about 48 hours after first treatment

1. Whatever you do, don't follow the directions on eBay for dosing Levamisole. The correct dose is 1 gram (1/4 teaspoon) per 100 gallons. (2 ppm)

2. All FH that originate from SE Asia should be dewormed.

3. Not all fish that poop clear have worms. Spironucleus aka Hexamita is also very common with FH.

4. Not all cases of hex can be easily cured, with metro, or other meds. It depends on the fish, and if the parasites have travelled beyond the gastrointestinal system.

Last but not least, many fish will continue to eat when they have worms, both tapeworms and round worms, so the fact that your fish has completely stopped eating would lead me to lean more towards this being a serious case of hex, vs worms. Of course it could also be a case of both.

Good luck.
