Nice work Jim ! Paroons very cool. You should hit up zenzzo and you can pack all the scrubbies you want in there for pennies. What is the sumps layout for mech filtration ? Filter sock or ?
I picked up a bunch of people scrubbers today, and after I did I saw the guy at the 99 cent store- he said pot scrubbers are due in a day or two- it figures
as far as mechanical goes, check this deal out- the day after halloween those fake spider webs were on sale at wal-mart for .02 cents a bag! I think there was 50 bags per case, so I bought the 3 cases they had- 3 bucks for 150 bags of filter floss! so, 10 bags loosely went into the overflow box, and I wrapped 5 bags around the eggcrate wall that seperates the pumps from the bio

looks good jim, thought you had a few more black aros? or did they go back into the pond.
I sold the babies and the big silver that you guys caught for me jumped on top of the tank- I have the african in the 115g and a baby leichardti in the bedroom- the rains are taking their toll on the pond- its looking pretty sparse out there
not usually, but when he does get crabby and starts crying, the only thing to do, is give him something to cry about, and firmly spank his bottom the tank is coming along, I got the bulb for the 25w UV, so thats up and running in the sump. while I was at it I figured Id plumb in the red sea canister, since the rio 32HF pump is so much more powerful than the mag 18, I cut the canister into the 3/4" pvc on the rio return side with clear hoses and a shut-off valve, at some point Ill probably put a by-pass also, just so the option to jump it is there.I also put another 20 packages of 9 per bag scrubbers in, so the 125g sump is now solidly 1/2 full of media. my friend marlon(my buddy who gave the canister to me) has been using chesters shrimp in his refugium filter for a while now, gave me the idea to do the same, but I just used ghost shrimp, 50 of them in my sump- Ill let you know how that goes- Ill get some pics with mt phone later
