Yes the male was tiny when i got him 12 years ago,he was exported from Manaus (Brasil),hes very dark in colour these days but very stocky and an incredible feeder.I will take a picture this evening and post it for you.

I also love Hystrix,not too sure about Scobina though some ive seen are attractive.Hystrix are very under rated,these rays have always been a firm favourite of mine,they possess a certain quality you cant get from many of the far more expensive species available,not least of all they stay quite small,a few years ago i thinned my ray collection out,this included Leos,Henlei etc,always regretted it but i kept my favourites,my Royal Marbles and the Hystrix and im so glad i did now!
Asia is too busy breeding the hi end rays to bother about wasting time with Hystrix,theres not enough money to be made,shame theres a real fan club globally for these fantastic rays......me and you far a start!!

Hystrix are in my opinion the cutest rays of them all. With their devilish high set eyes and their little paddle tails. Oh I love them so much!
