well, because my mom said the next tank i get is getting thrown out into the yard =(

really it was my parents idea for my new tank to go in the dinning room!!!

you gotta tell her its either fish or crack!!

welll... i will have an ectra 20 long =) think one could fit in there?

unfortunately i have heard of it being done...i wouldn't though.. plus i heard gulpers in the USA are like anywhere from $100 - $500. however, i have heard of someone mentioning a vendor who sells them for $75...

their $100 tax free for me here.

I walked into petsmart one day, walked out wit a 20 high...

went back the next week and walked out wit a 20 long...

went to LFS the next week and walked out wit a 55 =)

mom was needless to say pissed =)

but could a gulper fit in a 20L?

well, would you do it if you had 660 GPH filtering the tank??? plus I could add more if necessary... I dont want to put in the 55 with the EBJDs though

you could... not speaking from experience.. but from the word of other MFKers.. u could keep it in their for a while at least if its small. i wouldn't though.....

small update:

i went with granite tiles in the end....$100 for 2 18''X18'' tiles cut to my dimensions...

its worth it!!! beautiful.... gave me goosebumps when i went up close..

so i picked up the tiles today and they were cut to size within tolerance of 2mm of my blueprint which was giving at the start of job.

its called, blue pearl granite, its mined in Norway but processed into slabs in Italy. its absolutely stunning!! i cant wait to get it in the tank!

I'm excited to see this tank. It's a bit different from what I am planning. What did you decide in terms of the driftwood?
