Very nice fish Jexnell.
Definitely going to grow up to be stunners.
I found carpintis become sexually mature at a very young age. I think mine were little more than three inches when they had there first spawn. They became increasingly aggressive with their own kind from that point on.
The breeding seemed to really slow down their growth rate.
They a beautiful fish though and I wish you luck with your group.

We are starting to get some gill flaring tail slap fights.
Think this one is the lead male so far.
To help mow down the algea some I moved my cleaner crew in for a while.

Well it looks like the Texans are copying the Devil's with what looks like a 2m 3f setup so far. Two of the fish have so far greatly outgrown the other three. Also the three are showing what looks like bars just before thier tails. Where as the two bigger ones are staying the blue/black coloration with no bars.
See the one on the right, normal full coloration. Now the one just to the left of it you can see what's looks like silver bars on the back half of its body.
