My Highback Gold Arowana and friends

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hello Exoticfishguy,

I appreciate the feedback and although I have had years of experience as a hobbyist I don't ever claim to be perfect in the knowledge and breed of this arowana.

I can only tell you, I purchased 8 juvies 2yrs ago an all were certified with microchip.

I don't have a microchip reader but I can easily scan the certificate and show everyone this is what was given to me but I won't only because it really does not matter what anyone thinks.

Perhaps most of the members say he is a RTG, I DONT CARE. I posted pictures for members to appreciate my fish and the arowana regardless if its black, silver. I don't need to be ridiculed that I don't know enough of my fish or lack experience.

Please do me a favor, go check my thread titled red and friends please as no one has commented, if he a RED and what you think.

For what I have read and see how members can be so sarcastic and maybe envious that they cant own a arowana based on their laws its unfortunate but I wont post any more threads or pictures so I can be questioned of my integrity.

Wish you and all members of this forum the best.

I will continue my love of this hobby and enjoy my Arowanas and their tank mates.

Judging from the way you are responding, it seems like you do care "a lot" when you are shown to be incorrect.

Don't get mad at me, get mad at the person who sold you this as something else...or get mad at yourself for getting mislead.

I looked at your red pictures and that is a red, just like this one of yours is a rtg ,not hbrtg.

Nothing wrong with me calling a spade a spade...

Personally I classify "hbrtg" as RTG. It makes things less confusing. To the OP, I do consider your Aro as an "hbrtg". Not the best quality hbrtg but it has scales reaching the 5th level. Maybe in a few years more scales reach the 5th level.

Hi Hao,

I will post one last time on this forum just for you on my RED arowana once I get my black background in place.

There are too many critics on this forum and I post pictures not to be judged that I don't know my arowanas but more I joined this forum to show many of the arowana enthusiast my collection.

You make all valid points in your comment I truly still believe my fish I bought is a highback gold and at 2yrs is still very young and granted I agree he may not be the best looking but the potential is still there. He I running at 4th level but I see some coming to 5th level.

whatever the case, I love my collection regardless if some say its RTG, is it not the love of the specie that matters. If I got misled by my LFS no worries, this arowana has become part of my family and would not sell him because someone says he is RTG.

I would never say to any of my hobbyist friends out there that they just own a basic silver arowana. Everyone has its preference and bottom line its also about how much they can afford to pay.

I bought 8 juvies which I am now downsizing so they are up for sale but keeping 4. All came with certificates so I will assume what I paid for is legit.

Hi Shark,

Thank for commenting and appreciate.

No matter what anyone says he has grown very nicely and is part of my family. At 2yrs there is still tons of opportunity to hit 5th level for highback gold. Time will tell.

Hi Follen,

Thanks for your comment and appreciate. No matter what Arowana specie they are all cool looking but the higher the grade as we know th steeper the rice.

Too bad your not in Canada , I could sell you one of my Red or Gold. I have 4 left for sale.

Very nice looking arowana, wanted to get an HBRTG but I did not have enough funds so I settled with an RTG which I am very happy! Thanks for sharing! More pics :)
