Anyway... out of the hotel and into my new tiny ass garage. I started putting together a shelf for the filter to sit on. Hope to have this running this weekend!

No water today... I slept in till 1, so I didn't get a lot done. I stained the shelf black. I think I might paint over the stain on the underside of the shelf to make sure it's water resistant enough. I'd also like to paint it white so any light gets reflected back down into the water.

Not sure what you mean about the water. I'm going to prepare it by sticking a hose in the tank and turning it on.

This will be a landing pad for my fish as I move them from Vancouver to Fort st. John. It will be a temp home to a pair of 24 and 28" TSN's first, then to my 24" silver aro and a couple of big plecos.
