If big dats eat little dats, how do they reproduce in nature if they eat their young? I think that yours got eaten by accident as it was going for the feeders. Sorry for your loss.

Thats exactly what happened..I was watchin the whole thing..

To the OP, sorry for your loss.

Just to reiterate the fact that this is rare, I've kept my 1.5" NTT with my 11-12" ST for weeks without problem. I only took it out cause I thought my LSN might try to eat it.

yeah if u have a 1" its gonna get forsure eatin if u like to get baby datnoids its has to be at least 5in if its gonna be with ur INDO but if u like to have smaller i would say get another tank and raise those babys till they get a little bigger but sorry for your loss man

I would say

1. your IT is not getting enough food
2. if you feed feeders then this will happen

tigers will not normally eat other tigers doent mean they wont try if they are hungry

I would say that if you feed your dats live food..which is what I'm assuming (correct me if wrong) your fish are more agressive to eat smaller fish...and if you put another small dat in there, sorry to say this, it will get eaten too!

Glad to hear the other dat is doing ok. :)
