I jus get mad at these posts as i failed with my Jardini in a 6x3x3 he flipped at around the 15" mark and killed all but my rtc lol

good news RTC went in the pond it deserved (although i had one for him)
and im going to get another Jar i think Rays would be the best candidates for tankmates, i also wanna add a Juruense Catfish.

What are the dimensions of the future tank? 230 gallons sounds like a pretty decent size to me, as long as it has a width of at least 24".

yah it is 6 x 24" and roughly 30" high

and im sorry to hear about the loss of your fish...mine is real dosile my knife runs the tank with an iron fist and he stays the hell away although they wont be together forever they are a good match for now

I wouldn't trust a jar with anything, especially not with fish that are worth over $100. It's pretty uncommon to find one that will actually tolerate tankmates, and it's just not worth the risk imo.

I saw a Monster Clown Knife down my lfs in a big tank he was bout 28" and dominated a large Midas and a large Giant Gourami so?

So what would you recomend to try with him?

I would like a Fire eel but im not sure, if the eel was big and the Arowana was small?

But a Juruense cat only costs bout £40 so ill probably try that if not ill put some other large cats with it.

8-900 gallon i have located some glass on kijij for relativley cheap

try looking online at some private sales because people who werent prepered for this fish and cant take care of it or dont want to or.......i got mine for 100$ at 14" although it is fun to raise em from small
i had 1 that i got for 20$ im sure by accident at about 3" 5 years ago and he got to abot 10" and decided to kick the bucket so sad
