My Jardini is a wuss

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 6-7 inch Jar Aro I think he attacked anyone that came close, if any fish got near him he would beat them up, I also had a smaller 4inch Jar aro in there and he killed that one before I could get him into the other tank =(

I kept a few jars all savage first one was in a tank with atf both about 4 inches the jar attacked atf so often i have 2 remove atf, gutted as i have not found one since! the same fella got 2 around 8inches then pulled a small stingray apart ! stingray was in for about a week without being touched I hand fed all of them with live sandeel a saltwater fish used for fishing, a great feeder!

I'm really surprised about that i said no, my jardini is around 7 inches and has never even eaten or killed a fish and he's in with much smaller fish.

He's very active and eats a lot, he just has no killer instinct or aggression.

My jardini is about 10" and is bullying the 9" congo bichir that just sits on the bottom of the tank. I think its in their nature to want to be alone.

this as i mentioned abt your SH is just the fish's personality.

Some fish are psychos some are tree huggers... etc :grinyes:

Dont feed the jardin the next tree days, and he will eat the other fish in your tank.
why hunt when you get food stuffed in your mouth every day!

I use his tank to quarantine feeder platys for my little snakehead :D He doesn't touch them.

....I dont think this is wise unless your happy to lose your Jar?! Quarantine usually means you seperate them from your other fish for a period so as not to introduce a disease or infection!? Sticking them in your Jar tank to quarantine will mean it will be the first to be infected! :(
