My 9 inch jardini was kinda aggressive at first, attacks my delhezi but doesnt mind my juruense catfish. After a few days, it kinda grew to love the dragonfin as well. But when I introduced my 6.5 inch Indo tiger, it was my dat that was attacking my jardini, with my aro losing a scale or two each week. Kinda strange as I was expecting my jardini to be more aggressive than my tigerfish.
....I dont think this is wise unless your happy to lose your Jar?! Quarantine usually means you seperate them from your other fish for a period so as not to introduce a disease or infection!? Sticking them in your Jar tank to quarantine will mean it will be the first to be infected!
Hi, new member (my first post), i just wanted to add that my Jardini really began to show aggression at around 10-11" and he took a real dislike to my senegal bichir. Prior to that he happily lived with my two Oscars
never killed anything but i think thats due to the fact i have plenty of caves and pipes for the bichirs to hide in. The worst i saw was when i walked in and he had my senegalus hanging out of his mouth ( bearing in mind that the two were about the same length), he eventually let it go with no lasting damage. He will also attack my finger if i run it along the side of the tank.
mine became an instant pitbull and started grabbing other fish and thrashing its head after he grabbed them. Its brutal and i will never keep a jar again unless its a solitary tank.
I actually just sold mine also so that i could something slightly more peaceful and maybe see the other fish in my tank rather than have them hide from the Aro all day.
