richyrich richyrich nitrites are very toxic to fish make sure you add prime to detoxify it every 48hr, sounds like your filtration needs some upgrading K1 reactor is definitely the way to go it can handle some serious bio loads and all you would need to do is adjust water change schedule or add a auto drip. What is your current filtration set up?

Wait a second, adding prime in an emergency??? I think you were present when someone hounded me for that recommendation!

Algae all the way ;), let it grow :p

Picked up a used tank so I can use as sump tank and managed to brake the side panel and bottom in transit.
Now I’ve got to order new panels as well as re-seal and add baffle.

Lmao. Nice work ! Dude just go on offer up, you can find a used 75 gallon tank for under 100 bucks. Those panels will cost you $100 apiece Plus the hassle of finagling that all back together

Well managed to get some panels and fix,re-seal and drilled holes for plumbing and filled with k1
Also have the 5 ft I refurbished setup with two sponge filters already matured and got some umbee fry in there for the moment before the plumbing is finished.

Cheers pal, only a cheap set up I thought I’d play about with out the back room.should handle a tidy bio load now.
plenty of food and routine water changes and sit back and enjoy watching these beauties grow.
