My lame attempt at a show discus tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have not found a plant that will thrive in sand because the roots get all choked up and cant grow properly. The blue background was just what i had on the tank and i think they will show better on a blue background than a black back ground.

Will add some more wood just looking for the right pieces.

Thanks for the input

Those Discus are Beautiful. I hope you do well with them. They're supposed to be really high maintenance...

I really dont think they are that much work. same water changes for adults as a big cichlid or predator tank. Just need to have the water straightened out and that does not take much. ph is charmed with a few bags of peat in the filter

Young ones are harder to raise because they need to eat alot which means alot of water changes. A great fish though

if I were you, I would plant a whole 'curtain' of jungle val along the back. it twould look fantastic as a backdrop to the discus and its a dead easy plant to grow..

yea im was thinking of that.
