was it 5 inches?

if ur lei is just 6inches.. DO NOT STARVE IT. please dont.
if its eating guppies like a madman, feed him that. pump him up till he gets bigger like 12inches plus then there u can try starving it and training it what food u want it to eat.

again, do not starve it. ur lei is too young and doesnt have the food deposit it will need to go on a long hunger strike.

Mine has been more picky than usual, and in general is slowing down his growth for a bit. He does it every 3 inches or so, then comes a growth spurt and he'll eat more.

Mine has not been eating much, but enough.

I have 1 trick, I grind up a few Hikari pellets and feed them to the circkets for a day or two, then give them to the fish. When I run out, the pellets still have a scent of something the fish love. Mine will eat pellets and crickets at the same time.

Mine was also crazy over small earthworms.

Good luck!
