Yeah this sucks. I think that you should be able to get a permit for illegal fish that you want to keep. I do understand why there is a ban on Piranhas in warm states though. You know that people would buy them without doing any research and then release them in the wild once they got too big. If they were able to breed in the wild it would devastate that environment. Also if it was a new customer why would he show Piranhas to them?
 
What would really suck is if some incompetent guy comes to your house and thinks its an asian aro.
 
Damn...... that sucks, I go there often too.....

Owners such a good guy, hate seeing bad things like this happen to good people
 
Worst part for the owner is he often gets these huge MF fish in and is just doing the guy with a 20g a favor by finding them a new home. Which he does. Like I said I go there weekly and he's always got new stock. And I saw these fish and they were big 7-8". Somehow I'm suprised that he didn't get away with it by calling it a RB Pacu or something related to it.

Well, he had it coming. Just because you are a good person doesn't mean you shouldn't get in trouble for breaking the law. I don't feel too bad for him.
