I had a beautiful male wild caught calvus that was just not working in my tank so I was going to trade him in at my LFS. I called ahead before packing him up to see if they were interested and they obviously said yes. I get there they look at the fish had nothing but compliments and then had the nerve to offer $10. I was like really it is a $60 fish I will flush him first. So yes he came back home, I think they are still in shock I left with the fish.

I dont blame you. I understand they have to make money but they are pretty ridiculous
