Oh, sorry it's orientalis. But definately not bleheri. Check the tail patterns.

I'm from the same opinion it is a assam... i was comparing my pic with an orientalis and they aren´t the same. A regular bleheri hasn't the same patern as mine so i found this site and i have sure that it is an Channa bleheri sp. " Assam "

Yeah, sorry about that. It's an assam. I was just positive that it wasn't a bleheri. I think Assams are different species than bleheri, and not just a varient. Bleheri are nest builders, and I've read that Assams are mouth brooders.
