My little Gts growth so far

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Give him some cut up nightcrawlers. I've found that to bring out the best colors in fish. Also I've found it to be a hit or miss with gts but sometimes it seems adding slightly larger, less aggressive cichlids will speed up the growth and improve colors. Not sure of it if there's any science behind it but in my experience keeping gts, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.

Cheers for the ideas gt7. Are night crawlers pretty much just earthworms? Never heard nightcrawler here in Australia. Was actually thinking about adding maybe a femal convict to the tank to fire him up a bit but I've only got a 3 foot 50 gal tank for the time being and not sure how it would go. Thanks for the tips anyways mate

To my understanding, night crawlers are pretty much earthworms on steroids. I know there is a difference in nutritional value between the two but I do not know the exact differences

Ah ok I think they may be what we know as scrub worms here in Australia.

Thats one of the nicest gts ive seen on here looks awesome

Few people on some other forums have made note of the dorsal fin, I love it. Reckon it helps keeping him by himself as his fins tend to stay in real good shape. Just hopin I can get him nice n big lol
