Update: Well, don't worry about the pleco's. Noticed the aggressive wolf in the top tank tagging the pleco in there, so I pulled the pleco and relocated him to another tank. Checked on the larger but more mellow wolf in the bottom tank...pleco was already deceased. Sad, since I never even saw him attacking him. Wish I'd have caught it sooner.
Good Choice on the rainbow wolf fish. I currently have 4 in a heavly planted 120 gallon tank. They are all 6-8 " in addition I have a 6" pleco with them . The pleco does not harm the wolf fish. Here are a couple of pics of my group of wolf fish..
Comgratulations to your awesome additions. I have got mine when he was about the same size as yours. 2 years later he is definitely bigger than 10 inch and absolutely awesome in terms of color and behaviour. I wouldn't keep him with other fish though, because nothing grows where he bites. I keep mine together with a similar sized amazon toad headed turtle, which works out great - no signs of aggression at all (from both)!
They are a couple of years old . I have four in the tank together witha pleco . I feed them NightCawlwers, Shrimp and Beefheart and rarely feeders. They really like raw shrimp I feed them three times a week.
