Happy Thanksgiving!
Water temp getting cold. Got the day off, decided to do an update. Lighting in the pond is not so good. May have to do a better video later during the day.

Koi pellets is all I feed them. They go through 22lbs in no time.

Yes, they are yellow. Tail has a little orange. They also have the destinctive black stripe down the lateral line and pointy snout. Beady eyes too.

I do believe algae helps. They like sucking rocks at the bottom of the pond during feeding. Strange. They would swim around and around with a mouth full. I have to keep the water clear in order for the sunlight to help keep the algae green. All the leaves that fall into the water they would eat. I do treat them like kois. They like mud.
I do notice putitora in tanks tend to be more silver. The spinibarbus is also lighter and pink instead of dark and red. I think they are all still very nice monster fishes.

Cleaned out the filter and leaf basket today. Packed with dead leafs and detris. Spring is here. Water temp should start warming up. Lots of rain the last couple of weeks. 4" of fresh tap water perked them right up. I plan to start feeding this week.
