Proven fact? Excuse me??? Please show me where this proven fact has been documented! There is absolutely no reason a fish in captivity that is housed & fed properly, shouldn't reach their wild counterpart's size or larger, since they have no enemies or lack of food.

This is true. With proper housing and water changes there should be no problem. I've personally seen Clown Knives 3 1/2' long and 2' tall. So dont say that its not possible.

Can someone show me pics of a Mono that could not live in his tank for life?

Proven fact fish do NOT get as big in captivity as they do in the wild.

I've asked numerous times on this site and haven't found anyone that has one over 10 inches tall. Mine are about 8 and close to that many years old.

This is 100% FACT. Them fish are in a amazing tank/setup. Good for life no problems. :)

I find this strange then, with your PROVEN FACT, that my Hoplo catfish, lemon-fin barb, featherfin synodontis, African butterflyfish, mudskipper, AND freshwater moray are ALL fully grown, despite they were all purchased at juvenile size? Not to mention most of my other fish are well on thier way to proper adult size...

Learn to back up fact before you throw them out. Many people on this forum can prove your 'theory' (or rather, bad joke) wrong.

Guys max size is max size, take the largemouth bass for example, just because it CAN get to 20+ ponds does not mean that it WILL. There are complicated factors in this, a human can be 7 feet tall it does not mean that we are

Most of my fishes are growing, eating & living happly in my tank, some are more than a year for yr information there is very little salt in my tank all fishes already adapted to the condition in my tank.
Everybody have their own way of keeping fishes there are no rules to follow. My tank is a 6 x 2.5 x 2.5 feet as the fishes get bigger i just sell them in my country local fish forum at a profit to support my hobby.
Tks to all who are concern .
I will not further commen on this matter, this is fish forum i m not here to debate about this matter .

your basically saying that when you sell that arowana, the buyer should put him in brackish rather than in pure fresh, because it has already adopted to your type of water. it takes time to acclimate the fish as we all know.
