I don't think a lot of knowledge is needed, just patience. I do also belive that they shoal in nature... but attempting to do so in a tank vs river is different... Sanchezi's and Natteri are often seen together in nature, but attempting that mix usually only lasts a short period (I have only been able to have this last 19 months)
. Many people for some reason have a difficult time keeping them together.. ie: they suffer losses. I have been lucky and only lost two pygos in my mixed shoals over a period of about 5 years.
Just using a bit of common sense and giving them a quick glance daily and I think it is easily done.
