Cool it's really all in how deep you want it if you have a lot of plants then you will need more sand to bury them. But for example 5 pounds of sand will cover the bottom of a ten gal. For those two tanks it may be a little thin in areas are they both bow fronts? Make sure to gravel vac really good then tank a net to scoop gravel out

Yeah he was a King Kong parrot fish. And I just saw the thread that's so funny I have a few that my fish would be perfect for haha
