HAHA you bought it at Michael's?
that's awesome! How much was it? i really want to get one. also, where did you get the light?

Haha I know, I'm pretty sure it was under 10 dollars. The lighting I got online, don't remember where and I can't find anyone who sells it when I search it up. The lighting is an Azoo Galaxy Light, I can't seem to find it sold online in the US anymore though.

Watch the tank close! I had one that was 3.5 us gal. and it was great, until after several months went by and I was watching TV across from the tank and (pow) one side of the tank let lose and started to spew. This thing was intended to be a vase or something and I bought it at a second hand store and don't know the whole history but it looked like it would hold fish and water. That was enough for me.
I now buy or build real tanks. You never know how the the thing is put together and when it fails it's to late..
Is it sealed with silicone or is it just welded together with friction like mine was ?

It looks like it's just one piece of glass... It's held water for a year already, I had it on a window sill with some java moss and snails in there, so I think everything should be fine.

The HC is doing very well :grinno:. It's been growing pretty slow but theres not much space to fill in so it should be ready to fill in 3 or 4 weeks. Here are some pictures... sorry they're blurry the glass has a lot of moisture on it. When I fill it I may add some stem plants behind the rock... got any ideas on what species I should do?

An Anubias nana petite in the back left corner with a couple sprigs of hair grass on the right front corner of the rock would help soften the transition from that very striking rock to the neutral sand.

I think you can get a tank like that at any wal-mart or petco for like 15 or 20 bucks with a little air driven internal filter and a small LED light.
