Coming along nicely Stan, it's certainly looking pretty "wild" in there! One of these days I'll get around to having a SA biotope...

You will find it a lot easier to keep the smaller shoaling fish with the s/a set up.
I love c/a tanks but they are a little more restrictive as you have recently experienced.

Yes, I definitely see the draw to SA fish as there are so many options when aiming for a biotope, from the seemingly endless tetra and catfish species available. If I was able to have two large aquariums setup, one would certainly be a SA biotope with hoards of schooling fish.

Those melanuras are stunning! They almost look like marine fish with so much color.
