My New 125: Start to Finish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Finally got my tank in today. Picked it up this morning, and had it up and running tonight. Got the background painted on with a roller (thanks JK47:thumbsup:), managed to get all the plumbing sorted out, and got it on the stand. I used leslie's pool filter sand, which I really like, and it cleaned up really nice. No cloudiness at all. After the temp was right I threw on my Fx5 from my 55 and moved the fish over. The tank makes them look tiny now.

Also, I was worried about the quality of the megaflow accessory kit when I ordered them, but they work very well. The tank Is 3 feet from my head when I sleep, and it won't be an issue. My old Quiet One pump is louder than the kits and overflows. I'm also VERY happy I stuck with AGA. My LFS had a perfecto 125 right next to mine when I picked it up, and to me the difference in quality was very clear. AGA is clearly better, at least in my opinion. Anyway, enjoy the pics of the finished product.

Looks clean. It must feel nice to have the fish finally moved over? I like how you left the overflow portion of the background unpainted, very smart. I hate not being able to see what is happening/building up back there.

Thanks. Yeah it feels awesome not having them cramped in a 55 anymore. Im really glad I left that unpainted. I like the idea of being able to see any problems if any ever arise back there.
