Fertalized sand!

you're really gonna make me work for this arn't you...

I am interested in the details of your refugium. From the pictures it seems that you have a bag of sand dumped into the sump with random plants stuck into it. Rather than think you haphasardly threw things together, I am trying to engage you in a dialogue on the details of your build and the reasons why you chose the methods you chose. This way, the community can benifit from your effort and willingness to share information.

Also, discussing the details of your filtration system may distract from all the flames your getting over your stocklist.

so anyway, if you could please elaborate,
A. What are you fertalizing your sand with?
B. Why did you choose to make it deeper on one end?
C. Is there any reason why you chose the plants you did, and which plants are they?
D. What type of lighting are you using on the refugium?
E. How long has this system been running?
F. What are the current water parameters?

I'm not trying to be critical at all, Freshwater refugiums are just a special interest of mine and I like to see what others have done.
