The 240 long is the best standard size tank made imo. I almost got one except I found such a good deal on my 265g tank and stand which is only 7' long but 30" tall. Have you thought about filtration? Is the tank drilled? You need a wet dry sump. It's the best for biofiltration and so easy on maintenance. Just slide out the tray, throw away the filter padding and put another one in. Slide tray back in. Done.

The tank is drilled for 1-1/2" drains and 1" returns. I'm gonna do a diy wet/dry sump very soon already collecting my parts. Would be farther along but UPS lost my package with my pump and some media in it.
