My new 2600 gallon plywood tank project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like so far I have the following survivors:

All the clown loaches
The FRT
3 Flag tails (although 1 has cloudy eyes and I doubt he will make it)
All the ID sharks
1 Sun Cat
1 red hook silver dollar
2 bala sharks
3 leporinus

Of all the fish that were bigger than a foot only the IDs made it.

Oh and as soon as I cut out the window in the 1500 I will be ready to give up that window cutting kit.

Hope everything works out from now on out! But hey, lets look at the bright side, you have alot of space for some sexy Stingrays in there now ;) Gl in the future! Subscibed for sure!

Down two larger clown loaches this morning. Will be doing another water change when I get home this afternoon.

Still on track for adding the epoxy & fiberglass by this weekend. Which means another leak test before Thursday (11/10/11) to ensure the tank is still holing water.
Then Saturday (11/12/11) drain, install background, complete remaining plumbing.
Sunday (11/13/11) install heating system, put rocks & sand into tank
Monday (11/14/11) fill tank start filtration.

jesus.

not trying to add insult to injury but how many fish did you lose? how many rays were lost?

I applaud you for you effort, and your sticktoitiveness on this project. I would have been defeated, but thats why you're building and I am not. Can't wait to see that beauty in all its glory

No progress this weekend as I didn't get the materials needed to complete the final coating. Which is ok because I need to work on the taking down parts of the 1500 this weekend anyways.

Will keep you posted when this final layer is complete and I am ready to finish this bad boy.

Fish in the pond started eating again yesterday so that's good news.

I will get pictures of the pond this weekend as well.
