i bought this tank a few days ago.. and as i said in another thread it came with gravel that had been in the tank from the previous owner.. and i rushed and filled it and i had dirty water... so thanks to some suggestions from mfker's i emptied it bought some pool filter sand.. washed it out and cleaned the tank up..

i took some pics off my camera phone along the way.. let me know what you think... (hopefully the pics work)

day one: i filled the tank.. this is a pic with the old gravel.. after all the crap settled to the gravel.. looked alot worse in person

Looks 100% better, What kind of filtrarion are you running? you'll need to cycle the tank before adding fish.

im new to big tank keeping so if its not good tell me i wont be offended i'd rather do it right before i add fish..lol... it came with a aquaclear110 filter.. and the heater is a gaurdian 300w... i dont know much about either i saw the guy running both in the tank days before i bought it and it looked good.. any suggestions??

Another filter like another 110 or xp3 or something like that and I would run sponge filters off a powerful air pump with a 4 outlet gang valves. A power-head, and call it a day! You could do this for about 150$ just ask and we will tell. lol
