no more"dinosaur bichir" talk(petsmart can have it). its an albino senegul bichir
a common name is a common name. dinosaur bichir is no different than senegal bichir. :)

Just to be fussy ''bichir'' is also a common name used when reffering to any member of the family Polypteridae-Anne

the correct name for the species here is Polypterus senegalus

Thanks for all the info ... i know a little bit more now...

We call normal senagals Dinosaurs, and don't sell albinos anymore, but I say all Polypterids are awesome:headbang2 I am getting one very soon, the lure is too strong. They are african fish with some armor, they should be fine with the frontosa.

Thank you for the warning.. does mean to tape up even the tiny holes on tank?

No, just make sure you have a top and what not.

What is he eating? Frozen?

He is eating frozen...but not that much since i am sure he needs time to adapt to the new tank.. what are some foods that you feed..and what is their usual favorite.. because i will get some and try that.. thanks.

i feed my 4 incher live goldfish and worms. he'll ocasionall gnaw on a algae pellet that i put in for my pleco.

yeah and you need a good top cause they do get out. my endli got out one day when i was at school and i found him wriggling under my bed. these guys are so tough cause he must have been out fo a while his skin was dry.
