My new baby Frontosa

Thank you all. I'm really enjoying having him... how long do you think I have before I would run into problems without a colony?
And what would be a good price normally for these guys since I got him out of pure luck. Do I really need to spend the $30-$50 on the fronts around here, or does anyone know of some way I could get them cheaper around Seattle somewhere?

why don't you ask the lfs store where you bought him to order you a few more for the same price you paid.. tell him even if their smaller it would be okay.. maybe he would do it..

That is a good idea... the only issue is that the person who sold me the front wasn't the owner, and didn't know what she was selling me. The owner hasn't been in all week, but none of the tanks has a frontosa label. But if she orders more, I might actually end up with Mbuna or whatever else she was labeling as a Mbama or Mamba, I forgot what the label actually was, but I know I didn't know what it was (of course I'm pretty new to African's so who knows)
I just don't want to end up with a tank of Mbuna and still not have anymore fronts, and I don't think she will order me fish unless I promise to buy them

Then you give her the name of the front you bought on a note {written down} and the price you paid{written down} and say can you get me more of these for this amount? And remind her {you want the ones written on the note... {they get a list from wholsaler so they know what they can get etc or order .. worth a try.

Yes you have nothing to lose to try.. and sometimes the LFS get good deals too.. but just make sure they know what you want and quote the price before hand...let us know how it works out.. and good luck with this baby.

Thanks. He's so much fun to watch. Thinks he's the big guy of the tank, and just took after my 7" pleco cause it was in his cave Can't wait to get more

i love my fronts and the best part is growing them up from babies ... thanks!!!
