As stated above let him settle in, once comfortable in his new home he should be active all day.
Well he hasn't buried yet today, and he is barely on the sand, so i'd say he's active 
. Still isn't eating the bits of salmon i'm puting in, but i think he's eating parts that the other fish have ripped off, maybe I should feed smaller sections.

I've been alternatin between pellets and salmon and bloodworm. The other fish are fat as elephants, but i haven't seen him eat yet...
I am not too worried yet, but the thoughts still there. I have been checking ammonia, PH and Nitrite 3 times a day just to be sure lol.

Whats your PH And tank Temp Eric ?
I got my Female of Shane and she ate the first day in the tank and the only time she keeps still is when her belly is full, Mind you my tank is bare bottom maybe he doesn't like the sand..

I am gonna siphon more sand out and gte rid of some of his tank mates, and hopefully he will eat.
It's a little on the low side the PH, around 6.5-7, and the temp is 27. he was dripped for 2 hours to make sure the water was orite.

My Ph is constant at 7.1 with the temp at 28
