NO!!! USE THE PRIMER!!!!I totally disagree!maybe if it was a drain but any pressure-use primer to be safe.And I do the same as you with the pencil mark if its gonna be in view lol

I've screwed up and glued the wrong thing. I couldn't get it apart no matter what I tried (even heat) even though it was an effort made less than a minute after it was applied. Primer is better, but for low pressure (like an open 1" return) I've never needed it. Does it make it better? Yep! Do you "NEED" it....well, if you're that nervous it's cheap so go ahead![]()
