Eric... I would never consider keeping a green terror or baysnook with any 'true' Geophagus (not that it is not possible, just not something I would try). IMO they do best in species tanks or with similar fishes. If you're interested in biotope correct tankmates like Dave mentioned: Laetacara cuviceps, Biotodoma cupido, Heros cf. efasciatus, Satanoperca jurupari, and Geophagus sp. "tapajos" would all be fine tankmates that are found in the Rio Tapajos. Generally, any species in those genera would be okay, tank size permiting of course. If you're into more predatory fishes, the dwarf pikes would be okay, Crenicichla regani is also found in the Rio Tapajos. The only tetra I know from the Rio Tapajos is Hyphessobrycon pulchripinnis (Lemon Tetra). Hope that helps,
