Yeah, unfortunately they tend to fight with congeners. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's really the luck of the draw!

Normally about every six weeks or so. I have a series of pics showing the process from beginning to end, but I can't find my hard drive. :/

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. Their growth rates are different so over time the VATF will get picked on and probably killed any way.
My tigerfish don't eat anything except live feeder fish.... So can i buy feeder fish then freeze them to reduce the illness ???? please help me ^^
Live feeders is not taste like frozen dead fish 
ATF is smart fish, it will refuse to eat frozen fish for first few time but if you keep giving it that type of food it will accepted soon or later (to cheat it with dead food throw food in front of powerhead so the current will make it look like a live fish, eventually it still refuse to eat dead fish after 2 or 3 times tried it out).
*If you want it on frozen food then why not train it to eat market prawns, it's human grade food and diseases free, you should check out the train AFT off live food in sticky thread here...good information!

Tsk for the help... Anyones know how many time you feed your tigerfish per day ? I feed twice a day and it only eat 2-3 feeder fish is that to little ??? my is about 8 inches..
I fed mine only once a day. If your fish can eat more than it will grow faster. I didn't want mine to out grow his tank too fast.
I only feed my 4 Vittatus once a day because I don't want them to grow too fast and outgrow the tank before I can upgrade. Although they would probably eat 2-3 times a day if I let them. (They love hikari sticks)
