Tsk guys ^^ sashimimaster sashimimaster what is the size of you monster ??.... @Mustardtiger...
wow! How long does it take to pellet train them ??

Pellet train AFT is hard (also depend on each behave), I was tried to train my GATF to eat pellets around 5~6 inches. I did use tinfoil barb as teacher fish and after 4 weeks my GATF without food its just decided to kill and ate teacher fish :P. After it belly filled up with those barbs I waited for a week then introduced a new bigger set of tinfoil bard...another 3 weeks...it did again, it killed all the bards :P at this point I was like "you gonna die if you don't freaking eat and I'm the boss :)" so each day I drop a stick in and if it didn't want to eat to take it out...after 6 weeks (at this point its skinny as hell LOL) its finally broken...I WON! hehehe

As long as your fish has a nice round belly, don't feed it ANYTHING for at least two weeks. Then, try offering a pellet or two every day. It would also really help with pellet training if you put 3-5 small tinfoil barbs in there with him.

My vittatus took 7 days before he ate pellets. I didn't use tinfoil barbs or teach fish. I had my other fishes in the tank that were already pellet trained tho. Offered pellets only and the vittatus took it on the 7th day. My goliath I did the same and it took 3 days before he ate and he ate aggressively. He ended growing a inch before he passed away 2 weeks later. But I feed my guys a lot since I need them to keep up with my other fish.
