Actually bows are commonly aquacultured for their eggs. They call it Cajun Caviar and it is booming right now. Perhaps that is why its getting tough to find these on wholesale levels this year!

those would be the giant snakeheads, channa argus looks similar, but completely differen!

not amia calva i don't think there are any aquacultured bowfins, for food consumption.

Hi, I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, its illegal to import live snakehead. Im pretty sure they are bowfin.

From what I've learned from NANFA, you really need to keep their tank highly oxygenated, as in far more than usual, to raise them past juvi size.
