I know what you're talking about, I'm planning on trying that once they're "very" established (not sure what that means yet, basically when I get the nerve, prolly a few more years)... But I may try some with the "elevated" roots.

Boy do I hear that! Its scary to put that little guy that you raised from practically nothing through all that stress...almost like its one of your pets. lol. I thought my privet was a goner a couple times over the winter and was so depressed about it! I did not know that about myself...lol
