Possible mating behavior?

My semi-experienced advice:

The walls and caves are great, but I would remove anything not serving a fish purpose, like plastic plants or any decorative rocks
that cannot really be used as a shelter. These are basically unnecessary impediments to their free movement along the critical ground space.

It's probably just a matter of time till they spawn.

Here are mine spawning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSjFXPlh3q8
Atm they're separated due to my noobness.

Usually they start nest building/clearing and you can tell they are working together. If you see them locking jaws, or descaling,,
then she's not ready.

IMO there should be eggs on the square stone anytime soon chefwil , if it was me i'd remove the divider and do some fish sitting see how they get on together see if there's anymore mating dances or even lip locking going on :)

I took the divider out for a couple hours last night all was good for a little while. But the the male just statted harassing her , seemes like she was interested but he wasn't. Put the divider back up , try again in a few days, thanks foe the advice everyone

Will be checking your vid......sometimes mine get along fine prior to spawning and sometimes not... at times when i have my pair divided leave it up until I see the females spawning tube become highly visible....then.egg laying is imminent.... usually that evening spawning will have occured ... I'll come home from work and I'll see the female guarding eggs that have apparently been fertilized.... She becomes extremely aggressive keeps the male away I divide them back up because she starts tearing into the male.... Looking forward to the next wave of the Jag invasion
