Congrats on the spawn....72 hours from their spawning is when the eggs are due to hatch ( this Fri)...one week from then is when the fry are due to be free swimming.... ( 4/11)...would like to see how the pattern on your male gets when guarding fry....

Thanks from what their previous owner said they never spawned before, is that a normal size clutch of eggs? Got home looked where they cleared the gravel didn't see any eggs there.figured she hadn't laid yet, grabbed a coffee came back and noticed she was a lot thinner, that's when I realized they were on the driftwood.

Congratulations mate :) jag fry on the way , that didn't take long did it :D

Yes she's fine , my JD female is gettin bullied now though and the female jag and female Mayan keep lip locking :) , I think ill do some moving around on weekend either that or divider for a while

The bands should get darker once he is guarding free swimmers....in jag language it must be a signal to the fry because mine show an obvious preference for my male which has them.vs female who does not...also wanted to mention about covering your filter intakes to keep the fry from being sucked in....I took a magnum filter sleeve insert.... cut pieces and tied around the intakes....
