Where they pricey, did you buy them as babies?

gold nuggets don't get the requirements in captivity to grow at any rate so pretty much whatever size you get them that is how they will stay. he main reason for this is that in most cases these fish are not kept under the proper, natural conditions. In the wild they live in shallow fast flowing water with huge oxygen levels with huge organic matter that they spend all day feeding on that is impossible to replicate.

George got any more big L14's coming in yet? I reckon if I get rid of everything & just keep one of the widebars, the big Thinbar and Snape then add half a dozen big L14 it may possibly keep me interested? Got to do something.

Cool, I understand what your saying. yours look nice and big though.

I just have a basic common but hes nearly 10 inch now (had him from an inch 2 years ago so good growth). Common plecs are found deep in the amazon basin though I suppose which is definately lower in O2 etc and food probably than these nuggets are used to.

not too sure at the moment andy, i'm taking a break at the moment. :chillpill::chillpill:

big L14's are always available on the lists so i'm sure we could sort some out for you :)

and Marty - those nuggets look awesome! good to see you still giving the uk hobby a good rep :rockon:
