My New Rhom....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Im pretty sure its a rhom as well. Nice fish give it a couple weeks or months before it gets used to you. Most my p's freak with sudden movement. My rbs I wouldn't really see when I first had them, now they come to the top everytime they see me. one of my elongs would sit in the same spot most of the time, my other one after a few days was eating out of my hand. It all depends on the fish, give it time and it will warm up to you.

thats a badass fish :nilly: and how does color vary??? the guy at fish store said he will be lighter and dark but still have that shine to him i see the shine and glitter looking shine in his body up close... guy said it was a Gold diamond Piranha but who knows i guess....

when rhoms get older they go through a lot of physical changes. Looks like a completely different fish when they hit 8 inches or so... They turn black like the one pictured, hence the name black piranha. diamonds is just what they call a fish that tends to have larger scales and looks like they have glitter all over the body. Diamonds tend to still have the "glitter" even after they turn black.

same thing as rbps really. How big is your fish? Most people feed serras shrimp, fish filet, pellets (if you can get them to eat it, mine doesn't even know it's food) smelt, earthworms etc. Pretty much anything meaty, but not cypronids.

About 4", looking really good, a little scared though but such an awesome fish. Ill post some pictures tomorow.
