you should try to feed him bloodworms, and if he doesnt eat it then try black worms. last resort crickets. its hard to get them off of crickets, make sure if you use crickets its the last resort. try the bloodworms and slowly try to advance him.

they dont get drop eye from pellets, aros get drop eye in the wild. feed them a variety of foods.

rofl I have feed him bloodworms, hes not interested.. im going to try brine shrimp tonight, but i dont want him to be picky. I want him to eat a variety of foods. So he will have to get use to the sticks and bloodworms. He will eventually get so hungry he will have to eat it. Tigrey what does yours eat?

at first because my aro was a bit small i fed him blackworms for a couple of days. stopped feeding blackworms because they are messy. then i tried bloodworms and he wasnt interested. took a couple of days for him to go crazy for bloodworms. then i recently tried some sticks and he was slow at first, but when he took a bite he ate it. i try the sticks every day, sometimes he doesnt eat and is tweaky. thats all i make him eat right now is blood worms and sticks. ive dropped small pieces of shrimp in front of him but hes not interested, just have to wait till hes bigger.

can't they ban you for thinking about DE?....as for the op your fish can't see a reflection, if you don't think so look in the aro info sticky...your fish just hasn't figured out that it is in a box yet...mine rubs it face on the glass cause when it did this when it was young i gave it food to make it stop...now it thinks if it does this it will get food...but seriously read the stickies you'll find some info on your new fish...
