S2000's are nice but their peak hp comes at a rediculously high RPM

I'll take my 9 second 88 Mustang coupe over this any day :D

I find that 9,000 red line alluring and making all its power at 9,000 rpm is awesome. I'd seriously have to say that's the most ballin thing I've heard on mfk, didn't have jack to do so I bought a S2000...No biggie here....:D

Doesn't a straight line get boring after a while? I can only imagine the rush of a 9 second car, but damn, I think I would like afternoon trips on unfamiliar twisty roads better. Not to mention reliability and efficiency lol.

That looks like fun Bret!

what do ya have planned for it ??!?!?!?

The basic stuff....

HKS exhaust
White or Black rims...whatever I can find that I like
maybe a hardtop, if I can find one for a decent price

Nice, does it have an F20C or F22C??
Here's a pic of a friends 05, he imported it from Japan with 2900kms (yeah, two thousand nine hundred!) on the clock a couple of years ago, practically a brand new car.
picture.php

Spoon header, J's exhaust, RG suspension, spoon calipers, mugen vented carbon bonnet, mugen front lip and 18x8 and 18x10 Work Meisters with the centres painted in a custom dark grey colour.

Thats actually a terrible pic, but its the only one I have. I'll have to hassle him to take a few more!
They're beautiful cars, high-revving vtec + rwd = perfection. Swapping in a 2jz would just make the handling worse, upset the weight balance and make it undriveable with too much power at the wheels. Sometimes less is more...

I couldn't get the pic to work.

It's the 2.2. I think that I will be keeping that engine in it for awhile.

JD that thing is beautiful.. Love the look of those cars and that one looks super clean. Only thing that would make it better would be a hardtop..

Cheapest I have found so far is around $2200 for a used hardtop. :screwy:

Does yours have the red interior?? The hard tops are nasty! Rather exspensive though..

It's all black interior.

There are miles of nice roads around here complete with hills and turns, rare up your way! haha

I just ordered some headers and a DP so I might be able to catch up to your dust before it settles!

lol. I am still not pushing the car too hard...still getting use to driving a RWD car again.

I enjoy auto-X so this car seemed like the perfect fit. My buddy has an awesome 91 Mustang that I love. It's strictly an auto-x car with all of the suspension work done by Kenny Brown...before they closed their doors.

lol. It took me a while to convince the wife that this was a good idea.

It's an 8K redline with the 2.2.

It is, but not very comfortable for anyone 6' or taller.

We will have to hit some back roads, if you are able to come down this year.

Beautifull car...i love it..

Nice choice! I've always liked these cars. Are you going to re-paint it?

Hadn't planned on it. I kind of like the white, except for it showing brake dust, dirt, and rubber.

You think I should?

I'll attach the pic to this message. I'll be interested to hear what you think of the 2.2, have you driven an f20c one to compare?

Agree 100%, which is why I'd never bother with the 2jz swap. Don't get me wrong, they're a great motor and I'd love something like a 2jz powered toyota chaser, but why ruin such a perfectly balanced awesome handling car just to make it a high-power skid-machine?
