Nikon crew checking in, even though my little D40 is nothing compared to all you big dogs. I still need to work on the skills A LOT more before I consider even upgrading lenses, let alone bodies. I do want an external flash though before anything else as I think that will help my Aquarium photography more than anything else at this point.

Yep, an external flash will make a huge difference.

Flash will make a huge difference! I'm using a D50 and the SB-600 is the best investment I've made.
