My now empty 55 gal

My friend came by and i gave him my about 5" JD and now my tank is empty. I don't know what to put in it. I was thinking something along the lines that isnt camera shy and has cool personality. Reason i got rid of my JD is that he would always hid and whenever i turned on the tank lights he would take off and started bumping into the glass / decorations.

i got a fh and blood parrots in my 55 recently.
they always come to you when your near the tank lol

How about an oscar and some rare plecos and some giant danios? Get 2 aquaclear 110s, you need all the filtration you can get

See my first choice was an Oscar , but then i would have to upgrade and that means in my basement which we are starting to clear a spot for an aro tank , but idk

Why would a flowerhorn be any different than a oscar? The flowerhorn actually gets bigger, i have kept an oscar in a heavily over filtered 55g and he is 12 years old, he was my dads for about 3/4 of that and is now living in a 3000g pond, he is the only one in there because my friends are still debating on the fish, i moved/
